Bereavement, a term often associated with grief and loss, is the experience that occurs when someone close to an individual, such a family member, a partner or a pet, passes away. Bereavement will affect different people in different ways; there is no right or wrong way to feel. It is normal to feel both physical and/ or emotional symptoms and these may impact you on varying levels of intensity and may appear unexpectedly. Coming to terms with losing someone close to you can be an emotionally challenging experience.
