Netherhall Exercise Referral

The Exercise Referral Service is a 12-week fitness programme, which can help participants manage long term health conditions and disability, by engaging in exercises, which have been prescribed by a fitness specialist.

During this time, a specialist exercise professional will provide support, assistance and supervision opportunities. Programme participants will get discounted independent access to Netherhall’s Fitness Suite public hours, as well as access to specific Exercise Referral hours at 12-3pm on Thursdays and 9am-12pm on Fridays (Exercise Referral hours subject to instructor availability)

All GP surgeries have the option to refer patients to the Exercise Referral Service, as well as some departments at Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Brookfields Hospital, Royal Papworth Hospital and Chesterton Medical Centre.

Speak to your health professional for information on your eligibility for referral. If medically cleared, your health professional will issue you with an signed and completed Exercise Referral form, which you can bring to your first face to face appointment. Your initial appointment can be organised by calling 07525800996 or emailing Startup@cambridge.gov.uk
